Author Topic: When will TOD be out (or am i kidding myself) (Read 1436 times)

ive seen countless people leave this game since AH2 came out, and now many of my squad mates have slowly left over the months. i know people will come and go, some have such and such excuse, some whine, some leave with dignity, some leave a thought provoking seed..
i really dont want to see anymore good friends to leave, i hate saying to them give it another month im sure we will get some news or information. now i know we have had information when HTC has some major update comming up, it seem the TOD thing has become just a memory, a gloriously bright jewel that has yet to come.
My squad dont care about the eye candy. we want game play. we want TOD( or what was talked about as TOD)
the game at the moment ( for myself,, played since 2001)is a mush. im finding it ever increasingly boring to log onto the game to do the same old same old..

please let us know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that light is TOD..

PS why not use the secondary MA as a pre 1942 room ?

Well put.
I would like to see them open up that backup MA and put CT maps in there with the setup of the MA. Would be curious has to how many would play there. 2 sides with full plane set. I think the main reason so few fly the CT is they don't like being held to fly a choice of 3 or 4 planes. Some of the CT maps I have seen are awesome, but flying around fighting with 8 - 12 players, and having to fly a certian plane is boring. I could go do HTH for free if I wanted that.

Wish they would at least try it out, wouldn't be hard at all for them. Just do it for a month or so and get feedback as to whether it's a good idea or not.

ya, used to pop my head in the CT every once in awhile. i always had fun, though with not many flying in there can take away from the expierence (i like seeing the land and skies filled with bad guys.) at any rate those maps are nice, and much different than they everday MA maps.

That's why I like the CT, forces you to learn other planes. But to each his own.

Plank, I fly a little bit of everything in the MA. I have my favorite rides though. Also if your going to quote someone use the whole quote, not just parts and pieces that can be taken out of context. It has nothing to do with forcing one to Learn other planes. It's a combination of extremely few players there and being dictated what I can fly. I have flown there a few times, had a decent time too, but i just got bored fast, due to not many there and having to fly and fight against a limited set of aircraft. This is just the way i feel. If others like it, thats great. Everyone is different in what they like. Like I said, I have been in there a few times and had a decent time, it just doesn't hold my attention very long is all.

i guess a you have DL'd the terrain editer before anyone else.... because until that is done HiTech is not "officially" working on ToD.

THAT post may have been over a month ago, but the updates have been more recent. Its been clearly stated why there have been holdups, they have been working out the bugs from previous updates before the next big release, and the release of the new TE. Now that the holidays are over, I'd expect to see the release of the next update for AHII in the next couple of weeks, and the new TE shortly after that. I'd give them another month of ironing out any bugs in the new update, checking on how well the new TE works, etc before HT could comfortably concentrate solely on TOD. Not that I dont think he would be working on it in the meantime, but being able to concentrate solely on that would speed it up immensely.

Sorry, I must have come off completely wrong. I didn't mean that as an insult, bait, whine, or anything else of the sort. What I should have said was it forces ME to fly other planes, I didn't mean to imply that you, or anyone else, don't force themselves.
