When will TOD be out (or am i kidding myself)

Special events are a customized version of TOD with more variety and more closely matched than TOD will be for years.
Still, the intrest in special events was surprisingly small last year.... i would say the events are a lot of fun and completly diffrent to ma.

Also snapshots are like parts of TOD... and i have never seen more than 20 players in one snapshot.

With that low attendance there hitec will sure take his time with TOD.

Schutt, have you ever tried flying a squad ops event?

We typically get 160 - 200 fri nights for a 2 hour event.  Its some of the best flying availabe in AH in my opinion.

Give me a yell if you'd like to try it, you need to have contacted a squads CO in advance to be eligible. Looks like we are flying Axis this frame, vs the russians.

Get out of fanboy mode JB.  Before you flame me, I've been here since beta, spent 2 years as a CM and have contributed to this game with a paid subscription since it first started charging money ti play.  So I fell I am qualified to post.

It's fact that many players are leaving due to little or no news over the past year .. or very few updates, few new terrains.  Go back through the news archives and find out when HTC announced plans for TOD.

From then to AH2 we had no new planes, 2 or three player built terrains and nothing that showed TOD was more than a concept in a post.  

HTC used to be more vocal and showed a presence that has been gone since the arenas filled up.  We used to get regular updates and many things that made the game 'new'.  Now if you want that you go to ww2online as did many of my squadmates.

jb dont throw a wobbler.. i read all the info when it comes out..i dont expect a game to be developed in 1 month, that would be silly.. my post was to gain an insight into WHEN TOD would be out ...it is over a year since they said it would be out..
i want to keep some friends from leaving. if they had that info then they probebly stay till its out.
what i didn't need was you with your lollypop saying "you should have read the posts, you should have read the posts"
i respect HTc to speak for themselves in a calm manner they always do..

just wanted some information,, not national secrets.

Selector, if all you wanted was info, and wanted it in a "calm manner", you should have used a less sarcastic title for your post.  

JB73 wasnt doing anything but responding in the same spirit.  

You could have just had a title like "TOD?"  and said something in your post like "Just curious if there was a new update on when TOD would be out?"

Simple, to the point, no overtones that can be taken the wrong way.  Unlike your post.

Dont get me wrong. I´ve been playing AH since 2001 and have had a really good time but lately I have lost interest because of no snapshots or events on a euro frieldly time. If TOD gets rolling and HTC starts doing snapshots and events on times that suits us over in Europe I will renew my account again.

Still waiting, playing other games, and to think  I PAYED FOR 6 MONTHS OF AH WHILE I TRIED TO GET MY OLD SYSTEM TO PLAY NEW SPECS. GAVE UP AND GOT A $2,500 VAIO TO PLAY IT ON,  NOW ACCOUNT CANCELED FOR LACK OF GAMEPLAY!!!!!!!!!!:mad:

But I'm not bitter,  I have to excuse HiTech for needing to eat.

Just so you know, they're doing snapshots on Thursdays at 20:00 GMT. That alone might not bring you back but didn't want you to go uninformed

No events during Euro friendly time - you must be kidding, right?  There are snapshots at 1500 Eastern (2000 UK/2100 CET) on Thursdays, scenarios when they are on are at the same time on Saturdays, and the Sunday SquadOps will be restarting soon at the same time on Sundays.  Once there are more terrains available to suit the ever-changing needs of the CAP event, that will return also, again at a similar time to other events above.

Waiting for TOD wont make you happy.

When you take up activity, research aircraft specs or enjoy a squad that makes up its own games goals and codes it is where you get long term entertainment.

In the long run the waiting for new stuff wont make you happy, no matter if TOD comes or not.

Sure TOD will be nice and i really hope it comes out soon, and sure it will draw a lot of numbers at start. But when it is a bad start the numbers will drop quick again, so it has to be worked out and good. I dont expect TOD to come out before 2006, if they get it faster it is either crap or they are a team of verry good programmers.

After 4 years, I finally shut down my AH account about 2 months ago.

Nothing against HTC or the game. I just got bored of doing the same thing over and over.

The only thing I would come back for would be the Friday night TOD squad ops.

That was great fun!

Of course, life did not always allow me to log on at the exact time every friday.

Therefore, I too am closely monitoring the boards to the ToD announcement.

When it comes out, I will be back because then I can fly like it was squad ops anytime!

Gameplay. It's all about gameplay for me.

Any game gets old after 4 years.
