interesting, I didn't see Microsoft on that list.  It's weird seeing a .com list without any porn names.

IIRC it was created in the 70s by the military as an emergancy comunications system.  later it was connected to universitys so they could share research data.  Then the  motivated by the need for free dirty raunchy porn people flocked in droves to it after congress opened up the communication lines.

It was nice to find Apple on this list.

As well as Toad.

And aren't you overfed yet with the tradename of
Microsoft.

Let me tell the story about how this name was born. (But don't steal this story. It's copyrighted under my name).

So, that is how it all started.
Bill comes home after visiting the exibition where he saw how windows-like did the Apple OS icons look. His girlfriend embraces him. But, oops !
It's so micro and soft, she says.
That's how it all started.:rofl :rofl :rofl

I was playing MMPG's in 1982 on our University intranet, but peons like me had no access to the internet, though we knew that it existed as a way to get porn.

Can you imagine playing on a 900 baud  modem?  Of course, we thought we were **** hot because we had stolen a dumb terminal and the modem.

That's the WB Toad.

I was Toad in AW but my squad was slow to move to WB so he beat me to the name there.

I grabbed Toad Day One in AH Beta.  ;)

Hmmmm, Hemp and facial hair, where I'd expected dogs, airliners and firearms.
