Just because you voted for the guy  doesn't mean you have to defend every little thing he does.

If he didnt have one people would be claiming BS like "it shows we are weak to terrorists"

One of the worst things Carter did was to turn the Presidency and Inauguration into a 'common man' no big deal... One of the best things Reagan did was bring back the sense of awe a President should evoke. Clinton spent almost as much as Bush.

I say let 'em spend the money. Even Americans need a little bit of royal treatment now and again. We celebrate the office, not the man.

Clinton broke all records for inaugural spending in 1993.  That was BEFORE the terrorist threat had fully materialised.  So what's your beef?

You trying to say had someone else been elected they wouldnt be having an inaugeration party?

As far as parties go This president has thrown  far less parties  of any kind then the majority of past presidents. Most of which were at taxpayers expence.

 The troops are doing their job.
If they didnt want the job and what it might entail or if they didnt like the pay they shouldnt have joined.

Bush isnt exactly the cherry on my sunday either but he was better then any of the alternatives whom would also be having a party had they been elected.

This is just being used as another convieniant excuse for people  to whine about Bush. Nothing more.

Well if you're gonna spend alll that money, the least you can do is get some head outta the whole thing...:lol

If Bush were a REAL man, he'd spend at least 2 million on some strippers and some decent beer, not that high-falutin republican swill...:)
