Iraq campaign: A stunning success!
« Reply #15 on: January 28, 2005, 09:02:00 AM »
You are talking about 2 different things.

1) Bush DID say we were there for the long haul(which could take many years)

2) Bush did say he thought they had WMD(as did most people)

Are we going to put a base in Iraq? I don't know I haven't heard anything on it.

Did Iraq have WMD? Yes but who really knows when they detroyed/moved them?

I for one am for the capture of muslim oil and making it christian oil,
I realize, as much as anybody, the importance of securing energy for the operation of our country, even if that means military activiity.
I realized, years ago, that the ultimate end to our country would be WMD's  smuggled into our cities via shipping, or more probably, drug smuggling routes established by N korean intel agents.
The aggressive campaing by the US, which started immedeiatly after the cold war, is necessary for the survival of our country and the worlds economic growth and ultimately, world peace.
The 911 thing was the 'pearl harbor' event to spark this war.  All i am saying here is that this is wwIII and its important that some of us can see it as its happening.
read my opening post again and tell me where I went wrong?   The first objective is complete!  Whats next?  Iran?  N Korea?  Will Russia nad China sit by and watch from the sidelines?  How about pakistan?  They are certain to have WMD's and Al Queada maybe even Bin laden himself?
  Exciting stuff Hunh Mosgood:D .

I reread your post.   The first time I read it, I interpreted it in a different tone than it was ment......   (S)

Yes, all that is true except your claim of the timeline.
Bush didnt say anything about long haul until we were hopelessly involved in iraq militarily.  Before the war we were to be hailed as liberating heroes.  I challenge you to source a quote from GWB that says we would be in iraq for many years, prior to the war.

Of course hussein had WMD's.  The US supplied him with them. The claim was WMD's, ability to manufacture and an immediate threat to the US.

And I can make the claim and not be proven wrong.  Bush is changing his tune to fit the situation as the situation unfolds.

10Bears? Why the name change?
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I'm still trying to figure out....what the issue is with WMD?
In a matter of months 3 WMD were found and secured from ever inflicting "Mass Destruction" to people ever again.
Do people just have selective memory at will?
Hundreds of thounds of people were uncovered in mass graves and the WMD that caused their death is now sitting in a prison cell looking at family pictures of his two dead perverted sons.
The UN agreed there were WMD....they just didn't have the balls to go look for them let alone get em.

WhiteHawk's Signature
The WTC was bombed by 19 Arab Hijackers, Al-Queada agents. We know that they were AQ because of an anonomous american hero who, on a hunch, braved the choking cauldron just hours after the attacks and found the only piece of either aircraft or hijacker not to be incinerated instantly... a plastic passport, thus confirming that AQ agents were on the planes. Using that crucial evidence, the names of all 19 hijackers were assembled within 48 hours. Given that fact that the hijackers used false ID's, this is an incredible feat by our marvelous Intel community.

Actually, our 2 new secret bases are in Poland and elsewhere in Africa.  Get your shxt straight before posting.  We already have semi-permanent presence within combat radius in that area, so we sure as fuxk don't need yet another base there.

So those of you without any imagination don't get the wrong idea...

:) :D :lol :rofl :aok :p ;) :) :) :)
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.
