Why Europeans are all so messed up

We see it in this newsgroup. We see it in the UN. We see it in world politics. The generation of Euros who were born in the 60's and grew up in the 70's and 80's are all a mess.

The question is why? Why are they so different from us?

I believe that it is due to their upbringing. While people in North America watched Starsky and Hutch or A Team on tv and listened to the Eagles, they were rocking to this:

I was in Ireland a couple of years ago and there were three kids (guitar, bass, drummer) playing on a street corner in Dublin.  They were around 14 or 15 and were using car batteries to power their amps and were probably making 50 punt an hour from passers-by.

Every other song they played was an Eagles song.  There is hope yet.

You can make your own glasses like that by taking two Jam jars and cutting the bottom off them. Then using some double sided sticky tape attach two lollipop sticks on either side. Then get a pipe cleaner (for the nose rest) and a bit more  double sided sticky tape and join the two together and hey presto.

If you have two old washing up liquid bottles I'll tell you how to make some snazzy binoculars.
