been working on a couple of planes   both  on display at hendon RAF musium

109 black 6  8/jg27 in north africa

Needs more of a raspy look to it. Make more scratches, and paint chips dirt marks.

Very nice job roger! colours seem slightly off though?  Black 6 seems a bit dark, also i dont know if its a modelling issue, but spinner is white.

the colors are too bold, nothing was PURE white or PURE black, make them alil mo dark and light greyish

I agree on the colors...

Also look at the first pic posted by Furball... the oil smear by the engine pipes... please please.. ;)

I dont like "clean" planes... the more oil and crap the better... well to a certain limmit ofcourse..;)

Remember these planes arnt hangar museum exhebition items... they are used in "war"...

Did you paint those antennae onto the screenshot? lol!!!

Also, Black 6 is not an accurate paint scheme. It is a modern restoration and it was painted as such. However there are no squadron or gruppe badges on it. Is this how it was in WW2? Usually those 109 squads were really careful with sqn. markings (up until the very end, that is)

from what i have found this was how the aircraft was captured  although its hard to find a picture of it as  it was captured,  the colours  are not yet toned  and  its  just work in progres  for black 6.
 yes i did paint on the antenna  and  still got  oil and dirt and scatches to do
as i id its work in progress.  and the spinner  i cant change
