I don't know what the best movie ever is, but I'm pretty sure Guy Ritchie made it.

Bunch, you just lost any film critique cred you may have or ever will have. Tom Hanks is the closest thing we have seen to Jimmy Stewart and a strong arguement can be made he's the best actor in film today. On top of that, he's a helluva nice guy. He needs to do a western to round out his achievements.

I always pictured Hanks as more of a Henry Fonda of our time.

But that's just me.

And don't do FG around Hanks, he freaking hates it.

A friend of mine worked on the Apollo 13 reshoots here and had some good things to say about Hanks.

Although my credibility with you is of little imortance to me, I do have to admit Hanks was great playing opposite John Lovitz as the looser who couldn't make time with the ladies.

shows how little you know...

First of all it was a great story...the best so far....the writer was a frreakin genius...he accomplished all kinds of crap and it all made sense and went with the story...

The Tom Kanks did play a great tard....it was funny yet had a good message....There is a tard in every movie..sometimes not obvious but 1 in every movie...

top 3 actors of my time...

Deniro
Hanks
3rd one is up in the air...hmm Dakota Fanning..the girl is like 9 years old and she has been in movies with Mike Myers,Denzel, De Niro, Kevin Bacon, Charlize Theron, Christopher Walkin and many more A list Actors...

I think if your in a movie with DE NEro you can officially retire...

BAH BAH.
Not even in the ballpark here.
Best movie ever made---------> Extreme Prejudice with Nick and Powers and Maria Conchita Alonso. (I`d like to cross her border :D )

Best line is from Powers right after he put a round through one of his hands head in the cantina...."And I liked that MFer too". :D

OOOoh Ooooh! Nearly forgot. I`d like to put this one in as a movie, but the best description would be mini-drama I guess.
Lonesome Dove. Absolutely one of the best of all times.

Thanks for the info DieAz. I had not heard of that yet. Sounds like it has a lot of potential with a Larry McMurtry script.

Hanks is great, no doubt about it.  He's excelled in everything from Big (should have won Oscar for that one, but comedy is tough) to Philadelphia Story etc.

So, rpm, you say FG is in the top 5.  What are your other four picks?  And, just curious, how many of the others I mentioned have you seen?
