1.  Everyone, no matter how they hate us, wants to live in America.
2.  When was the last time you heard of a US citizen, jumping on an innertube and defecting to a European Country.
3.  Everyone owes us Money.
4.  Whenever there is a disaster everyone cries to the US to send help and then carps when we don't send enough to suit them. Can't remember reading anywhere of the European Countries that sent aid to the US after 9/11.
5.  UN is in New York not Liverpool. (Not that we really want it.)
6.  Just one Aircraft Carrier from our Navy projects more power than 90% of most Countries.
7.  When some Country is killing off it's own citizens right and left somehow it alwyas seems the US hasn't done enought to stop it. Never heard them mention UK, France or Germany.
8.  Best looking Women in the World. (Nuff said).
9.  Freedoms we have are the envy of the world. (Whether most will admitt it or not).

THAT SIR, is why the US is the Greatest Country and why we are right. While it is not the perfect system, it is far better than ANYTHING anyone else has.

Second this is the 21st century guys, might don't mean right!

Third its our little island that is still called GREAT Britain. And yep it is thanks. We're doing pretty good right now. We have the strongest economy in Europe, for the first time I can remember less unemployment than Germany and I think we have a pretty robust yet sensible foreign policy. It ain't perfect but nowhere is still I'd rather be here than there!

Bush and the Rabid Neo Cons want perpetual war a bit like "The Party" in the novel 1984!

Let me quote you a line from the opening few pages of the book,

"War is Peace....Ignorance is strength"

Now that sounds like US foreign policy to me!

Now incase you didn't twig, I'll quote myself
"These are my opinions and mine alone"
I don't expect you all to share them.

So go on lets have a little debate! But how about laying off the personal insults Masher and using the intellect instead? Oh andyou hate Irony because you don't get it. not your fault its just something I think us Brits are better at. Oh and Laughing at ourselves.

And it used to be referred to as the British Empire but  was it Might or Right that was lacking? ;)

Arrogance abounds on this BBS.  

The euros here are in no way immune to it, they just ignore it when it comes from particular sources.  Usually those sources share a continent.

I think some of that may be due to the vast majority of people on these boards are American, some of the europeans feel as though they have to try and make the americans aware that they are not so ahead of the rest of the world, if you get what i mean? Its like the little guy has to shout real loud and jump up and down to get heard.

Every country has good and bad points, i just accept that mine has faults and get on with it.
