Oh crap! I just lost a wall of text post here when I went to find a link for you and came back, my novel was gone!
I'll summarize by saying it looks great! I had questions about the grey fuel caps, and wasn't sure if the overall emphasis should be on the light or dark panel lines on a green 38. I don't have pics of the topside of a green '38, so I can't tell which look is correct.
I'd say the only other things you need to add (and this can get pretty time-consuming) is paint chips along panel lines, access hatches, wing leading edges, etc. And a layer or two of dirt/grime/oil streaks - here is a great tutorial on how to do them if you've never done them before:
Skinner's Heaven - tutorials Oh I remember - I wanted to ask about that wing leading edge getting the top color - that shows extra effort and attention to detail on your part. You can't just paint the top wing one color and the lower wing another color and leave it - I had to add a feathered sliver of top color paint to the leading edge of the lower wing to soften the transition between the two colors, and it looks like you've done that too. Good job!
