My mom was a great mom. She raised 5 kids on her own and worked her arse off for us. I told her I loved her and that she was the best mom I could imagine.

SOB, it was at her house on her computer and porn is like online herpes- once you download that stuff it's there forever.

I gave my Mom a cyber social disease, basically, and did it by opening the most innocent of messages....from one of your degenerate FDB squadies, BTW.

It was "ambush porn" where we, as posters, are trusted to keep it clean but there's allays one idiot who thinks it's funny to post pics on a Board where many of us have children or pets on our lap when we open it...it's gotten so prevelant to see dirty pictures on the Internet my cat screeches and bolts from my lap whenever I log on anymore.

IF Porn or nude pictures were allowed then AH should have known already what he might run across. So the chances as well as the blame, were his to take.

A better compromise might have been made if you required a disclamer or warning in the thread title.

IF that rule is broken then you get rid of the poster. Not change the rules

But seriously, it was getting out of hand. To the point people couldnt read/post from work because any innocent looking header was simply another ambush post of something nasty.

So, with MiniD's help, we've cleaned it up. We still have a few who insist that its their right to post whatever they want, or simply feel the rules do not apply to them (Ramzey). For most, we just give them the boot for a few days and with no pomp & circumstance, unban. A rare few have had the permanent "hasta". We take a lot of ribbing for all the banning and moderating we do. I don't always agree with MiniD and he seldom, if ever, agrees with me...but we keep the forums on the up and up.

Ummm HTC, AGW and CheckSix are all PUBLIC Forums- there is no requirement to view these Boards and they are viewed by children, wives, whatever- as such there is a responsibility on the part of these PUBLIC Board operators to monitor the content of their Boards.

PRIVATE Forums, such as the FDB Squad forums, are only viewable by membership, and I have no problem with what's on their Forum.

By your logic Safeway could sell X-rated magazines alongside Motor Trend and that'd be fine because if you don't like it then don't shop at Safeway.

I don't care if you like porn or not, Dred- but I shouldn't be ambushed with it on a PUBLIC Board.
