just curious how everyone feels about  the buildings being left partially up after being destroyed.

one part of me loves it.

the other part of me curses it everytime i drop troops and find that there was a building that nobody was able to see from the air.

is there a way to be sure that youve gotten the whole thing?  a stat somewhere?

It was easy in AH1 when the city was down you knew it was down. They were much smaller and you could literally count the buildings. Its a little tougher now with the town being so much larger. I think the town buildings being painted in AH1 helped a little also. You could tell which building was down and which building was up.

maybe make the the buildings brighter or paint them differently so we can easily tell if the building is "up" or "down"

We just got to make sure Morph don`t try to paint the church. We wouldn`t want the roof to fall in.

I think it just means that much more effort is required in visual confirmation. Need at least two~three different people to do a fly-by and positiviely confirm all buildings are down.

Considering that information gathering process has a small but fun quality of its own, I rather kinda like it this way.

I captured a Field with an LVT last night, It was different approaching it and navigating around the rubble, I had to ask where the map room was at!

A fellow rook called from the sky, Just drop em, your right next to it! :D
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

It is much too hard to tell an up building from a down one now. I did a bombing run on an AAA strat field and nailed it completey. Imagine my surprise when no destruction points started popping up. Flew by a couple of times before it dawned on me that the buildings were already down. There is absoutly no differance from directly above. It is not untill you get to a side angle that you can see the building was down. Some change has to be made to differentiate an up building to a down one. Maybe a fire or smoke or something, but it sucks right now.

i think its way more realistic.

means far more co-operation and observation to capture a field.

paves the way for the final touch to make AH2 the best game evar. the first person shooter option.

but then im not that bothered if my Attack and Buff hit% drops off.... ;)

I hope that in the future, the idea of capture can be tweaked a bit to add some variety.  I have no idea what...just something more complex than bomb...bomb...straif...striaf ....DROP 'EM Earl

The new buildings are much improved....now at least ya can tell if the city is down from 1/2 sector away.

I like it  makes for some interesting combat in the towns.
