My cat peed on me
« on: February 17, 2005, 03:22:57 PM »
I was lying in bed this afternoon (I work 3rd shift), and my cat jumps up on top of my blankets.  He walks over to my back and sits down.  Then I feel something warm on my chest (I am sleeping on my stomach).  At first I thought it was a spider crawling on me, then I realized it was urine!!!  Not sure why my cat would do this, hope its not a sign of cancer or something.  So I jumped up and ran to the shower and washed all the urine off me.

You were sleeping on your stomach, and the cat peed on your chest?

Either your body is all ****ed up, or your cat is afraid of Siegfried and Roy coming to get it.

For whatever reason, I didnt feel the pee until it trickled down to my chest.  Maybe because I was sleeping under so many blankets.

How old is your cat? Are his gums pink or have they turned white? Is your cat acting like it's sick? Does your cat feel like it's running a fever. It's nose will be very hot and dry. Did you forget to feed it or change to a brand of litter it hates.

I have an 8 year old Turkish Angora male. He sleeps all day, then drinks water when I get home. He sits down and sucks 1-11/2 cups of water. It's normal for him. But then he floods his litter box.

So what did you do to piss your cat off?

sing of something not good....

look around the house, in corners, and hidden places for other places the cat has pee'd

how old is the cat?

if 12 or more, take her to the vet. it is quite possibly a kidney infection that can be cleared up by medication... or cancer.

my cat had that, peeing blood too. what PO'd me was i was unemployed and my stepdad took her to the vet... the test to see if it was cancer or just a kidney infection was $80... he wouldn't pay that, just the $10 to have her put to sleep.

i was SO pissed. i grew up with that cat, it was 16 and i got her when i was like 7 or 8. i still hold a grudge about it a bit 12 years later
I don't know what to put here yet.

My wife told me that her ex was taking a nap between games at a softball tournament and was laying on the grass next to one of the fields. Some dog comes by and pees on him while he's sleeping.

:rofl :rofl :rofl

That's why she probably dumped him.

Since cats can’t speak, that is a way they give a sign that it’s their time; In other words shoot that little f345er.

sigh.

dont listen to them sun tracker.  (the kitty killers)

its probably either old age or a bladder infection...but you should have it checked out as it may in fact be something worse.

its also possible that he had peed on the blankets previously.  that scent wont wash out forever.

First accident.  Cat is indoor/outdoor cat. 8 or 9 years old. He usually meows and knocks on the door to be let outside.  Today he simply peed on me.

Had a cat start peeing everywhere for no apparent reason. He ws a russian/siamese mix......and his urine tract started being blocked by crystal buildup. he had to have an operation but eventually died from it.

I'd take it to the vet.
