Being that Opossums do carry rabies they might need to take it away. That doesn't mean that they are going to kill it. I've fed baby opossums at an animal rescue center. I'm sorry for you loss though. I'm sure going through this situtation has been a tradegy.

sadly, he has passed away after a few attempts to keep him breathing. The last attempt did him in :(

Of course it isnt ok, his freakin eyes shot out fo his skull and across the garage and then he exploded on the 2nd attempt. Guess they didnt read it.

Holy ****, what's wrong with you guys? Sorry if I'm just making assumptions, but after reading this thread, I am thoroughly disgusted. You stuck it in an air compressor, stuck an air tube up it's butt, and shot it across the room? And it's EYEBALLS shot from it's head? I believe that sort of pain is much worse than an animal would experience in ANY factory farm. Why wouldn't you just do some research instead of relying on teenage PETA members to tell you what to do? You should've done research, and you would have learned that possums "play dead" when they feel threatened.

This is ridiculous.

If I'm making assumptions, someone enlighten me, because I am disgusted.
