I dont recall the series/epsiode name...but the History Channel had a neat show about the Cold War Subs...how they secretly tapped into Russian communications via underwater taps, etc

If you can catch it on re-runs, or buy the tape/dvd from them, its pretty amazing.

When I was on USCGC Boutwell, we spent 45 days off Fairway Rock as a Seal Team "repaired" an underwater communications cable.
