anyone ever tell you, you where a dweeb for flying an spit 5, esp when the other person is flying an la7, for a respectable squad, who also has over 317 kills in one, and ranked in top 20? oh, also i was in DA.

this may very well be in poor taste, but it is 2am, i've had a bit to drink, and i'm really tired of these ego maniacs who take every thing so seriously.

ITS A GAME, RELAX, IT IS FUN.  i'm not trying to judge, but when a exclusive la7 pilot starts calling people who fly a spit 5 in the DA a dweeb- i think that is where i draw the line.

It speaks to those who think being an AH "ace' means anything at all beyond the fun.

Thankfully many of the best sticks could care less.  

And you also have to keep in mind that some folks use the words to try and gain an edge too.  They have an online persona that they fly with and that's all it is.  It doesn't mean a thing outside of the game.

Bottom line is 'sticks and stones' applies here as well.

what gave it away?  "respectable?"  "ranked?"  :p

i do admit to disinfecting the DA after spit5 weenies make use of it. can't have them infecting the DA with their TA germs.  :D

Don't hate the plane, hate the pilot. A hurricane or spitV at 5k isn't a dweeb. The same plane at 15k over a low furball is a massive dweeb. An LA7 that actually fights (that means he doesn't run like hell every time you get his 6) is not a dweeb. He's just flying an easy plane.

gotta love late night posting;)

think all this was a communication issue, and am sorry to have brought it here.  to understand whole event i would have to explain in, and frankly it is quite boring, and really not worth it.

i'm way past caring what others have to say about what i'm flying-nor do i really care what they are flying.

i think this guy is probably a good guy, at least has a sense of humor- he called me a "banana head" which i thought was quite funny.

guess my point of this at the time (though struggling to find one now) is that people need to relax, have fun, and worry less about what the other guy is flying.  at that i think i will take my own advice.

Now, I'm fairly new to AH and of course, started out in the LA7 and found out that was a "dweeb ride" so, I moved to the spit 5 and now that's a "dweeb ride"

Will someone please tell me what I am "supposed" to fly?

If you are really concerned for the feelings of the opposing teams, just take a c47. Just be sure not to ram anyone.

La7 has many advantages in combat in the MA and the fewest disadvantages. Most combat takes place lower than 10k. I really dont take offense at the single la7 its the 10 or so that come to attack 3 of us defending a base.
