Zvezda transmits only 12 hours daily now, and most of this time I am at work.

I rarely watch TV, mostly after midnight, when they show old Western movies. Last week some genius showed Hitchcock's "The Birds" at 02:00... And in prime-time they feed the public with modern Hollywood crap and soap operas Or imbecilic Jerry Springer-like talk shows. But the worst thing is their afternoon programms for kids.  Feels like brain-McDonalds instead of real food. Zombyfication goes on and on.

I think they prefer dubbing over subtitles... Well some movie had just translators speaking over original sound.

I saw the russian pirated version of 'titanic' back when the movie was new. Most western titles are sold for around $2 a piece or even less if you buy in quantity in the open markets and even shops down there.

It was funny. They dubbed over the voice and all cast members were dubbed by the same bass-rich male voice. Including the female actors.



It really was hilarious.

I did rent a movie (not a pirated) and just for the funnay I put the russian audio on and it was just like you described; single voice doing the dubbing for whole movie but this one did sound like a female shot-putter from Ex-DDR.

Gotta get rid of those citys. They are dangerous. Full of crime, hogging resources, drugs, high auto insurance.
