I think I blacked out the last 1.5 hours
« on: March 01, 2005, 10:12:33 PM »
This is the strangest thing i've ever experienced.

I got home from work - put a subway sandwich in the oven and heated it up on a 10 minute timer. That was 6:30 pm - I suddenly realized at 7:59 PM that I hadn't eaten, or I thought I hadn't. I looked back and 1/2 the sandwich was gone, and I had a bump on my head that had some blood comming from it.

I have no idea what the hell happened the last 1.5 hours, but at some point I ate 1/2 the sandwich and banged my head.

What the ****...

Time to schedule a visit to the doctor. Memory losses could be serious.

My only experiences with short-term memory loss were the result of concussions. First time I did it, I was six or seven and I lost about fifteen minutes. The second time, I was seventeen... that one blanked out three days but I finally remembered all but the thirty minutes before the injury.

Get to a doctor.

Laz is right. I think you need to see a doctor before you go to sleep.

Buddy,

It doesnt hurt to sit down does it?????

just kidding

Go see a Doc.  If you bumped yourself on the head there could be serious things goin on underneith your skull.

Don't want to alarm you here But I lost a friend a day after he smacked his head on the ground.  Subdural hematoma is what I think they called it.  He felt fine the first day.   Of course he was drunk and fell off the roof of a truck going 30mph.

Either way any time you lose conciousness from an injury its reccomended you seek medical attention.

Call for a friend/relative to drive you. 1.5 hours is a chunck of time to lose without alcohol involved.

Do you have low blood sugar?  I have it and hypoglycemia is no fun.     I haven't blacked out yet from it but have come close.

Friend of mine is comming over. I have flash images of being around the house, but not doing anything specific. Checking the mail, going down the stairs - single frames almost.

Almost like you were on the verge of sleep and not being quite sure if events happened or not. I want to know where the hell my sandwich went!

I am type 1 diabetic - I checked my sugar when I came to and it was 96 - which is right where it is supposed to be.

Could exhaustion have done something like that?
