Vulching with the .45 cal
« on: March 06, 2005, 11:50:34 AM »
OMG. I got shot down in my 110 last night @ A33. I chuted and walked onto the bish field without getting killed. I walked over to where they were spawning a/c. I for-the-fun-of-it started firing on the spawners from point blank range.

One hit to the cowling and 1 to the wing brought flames and an explosion, followed by a kill message. I hit another without any effect, but later got an assist.

Now I don't propose this tactic be utilized very often, but it was fun as hell while it lasted.

I guess it don't take much to entertain me.

heh

USMCnav...no your plane didn't just explode for no reason. You were vulched by a sapper with a .45 :)

I've seen some people discuss the effectiveness of placing guards inside the maproom.

Send some bailed-pilots over the town, make them hide in the maproom, and blast the drunks one by one as they make their way in. I figure a single guy can full stop about two goon drops, if the enemies can't discover him.

hmmmm 4 goons to take a field...  think about it... 2 goons = 20 troops... 21 shots... means that the 3rd goon would be 1 trooper short!  :D

Then all Hitech needs to do is make the troops actually shoot back.  Isn't killing the guys guarding the map room their job, after all? :)

So now after you let your troops out, you need to bail and escort them in. :D

LOL! That adds a lot of new dimensions of possibilities..

..like ordering the drunks to stop, prone, and watch the situation until guys that bailed with the drunks go in and clear out the map room! Maybe this could be the point where a FPS game meets AH..

:rofl

No, its 21 I believe.  Why would you put an extra bullet in from a different clip, anyways?

One of my squaddies did it yesterday. The drunks came into the map room and he "took them out" one by one. The nme eventually found him and killed him. So, it does work and is effective.

;)
