Is that the series with Mike Loades, vudak?  He's great! extremely enthusiastic about weapons and fighting, he's on the latest series of time commanders too.  I recently watched a TV programme which he trained 4 guys to joust in a medieval tournament using real lances.  One guy even took a lance to the helmet and didn't feel a  thing.  It was really good.:)

Mike Loades, yep, that's the guy!

He's basically the Crocodile Hunter of medieval weapons.  It's also interesting how he dispells some of the old myths...  He literally threw himself from a charging horse just to prove a knight with armor could get up afterword.

You're right- collectively we'd be more attractive and have better teeth.

FWIW I don't have English blood in my veins, so it wouldn't affect me.
