Schumacher wins.  I thought that was the point.

Senna didn't have to block.  He traded paint with a rival named Prost, but Schumacher is a b****.   Senna's teammates never "slowed up" to give Ayrton the checker or get a lap back.

Schumie wouldn't know class if he was in school.   Senna also owned Schumie.   Take Schumie out of Ferrari and onto another team, he'll be out after 5 years.

PS - Senna is the best there ever was.  That is the point.

I always thought of this guy as the best.

He did it without downforce.

Read the post you replied too.  I mentioned Clark.  You're reinventing the wheel here.

I did read your post.

I just pointed out that Schumacher wins.

Faulting him for winning in a sport where the point is passing and then not being passed is like saying Tiger cheats because his drives are longer than most.

Traded paint? Senna deliberately swerved and blocked Prost at Estoril in 1988 almost putting Prost into the pit wall. Later Senna speared Prost's Ferrari off the track at Suzuka 1990 at the first corner to guarantee his championship win, and because Senna accused FIA President Jean-Marie Balestre of manipulating the World Championship to favor Prost.

Schumacher helped build Ferrari to the team they are. He is an integral part of the teams success.
He was also winning races when the Ferrari was a bathtub. To say it's all just the red car, is saying Senna was nothing without the McLaren Honda.

mrblack, reality check. You’re spouting off just to post. You have never watched a F1 race start to finish, or understand the series. Much like most Americans, which is not a bad thing. I bet Funky or Krappy does, but you? I would understand it if your input was for a Nascar race, as SRV fans might have a clue.

Best to let something you know nothing about take it’s course here on the BBS without trying to coming off like you know something, as it’s obvious you don’t.

Athlete!!!! Good God all he does is sit in a car and make minor adjustments to the steering. He's no athlete. just a very highly paid passenger. F1 is not about the driver its about the car.

What u say ?? Its an exhausting job and u have to have withstand alot of G's .

Ever drove a bit cart ?
its topsport therefor these guys are ahtletes. They have to train their condition etc. Do fitness.

Ever seen a fat hamburger eating F1 driver??

Who says an marathon runner can drive the F1 i bet it would be hard because he has to use another muscles and keep the concentration sharp until the race is over.

regarding the topic, there will allways be the fans who adore him,
and others who hate him. Same was with Senna, and other former
great Race drivers. His crash with quick Nick was avoidable maybe,
maybe not. Nick was not even close to be beside Schumi and ready
for outbraking, its his fault to.
I see this incident as a usual race-incident, both drivers fault.
Thanks no one is injured, lets go  to the next race.

And btw. comparing former race drivers with present racers dont
work, they didnt drive against each others. How can you say one
is better then the other? Statistics? this can't work too, the rules
changed to much the last 50 years. Every time has its race heros.

Well there was this guy, dont know his name, who said
a Racer is only good as his last race.

Ok I concede. Driving F1 is hard work.

Riding a moto GP bike is also very hard work. I guess you pays your money and takes your choice. My choice is not to pay the extortionate fees Mr Ecclestone wants and to go and watch Moto GP and the like. You get more races for your substantialy fewer bucks, can see the rider working hard, you get more overtakes, and drama in one race than the whole F1 season, and its just so much more accessible.

Just a few reasons. But if you love your F1 procession parade thing then hey who am I to put you off?
