I've given up hope of the FIA ever doing anything about his ridiculous blocking.

You might be right I think he is going after 6 in a row this year.
Look who really cares if they think he is a jerk?
I mean how many of you have ever even met him?

I don't think any of us can fully understand what pressure the guy is under.
From what i have read there is alot more to being an F1 driver than whats on the surface.

Has to deal with the people at Ferrari and his team.
Then theres the fans orcoures must keep them happy.
Oh and lets not forget about the press LOL.

When you are as good as he is everyone expects you to win.
Including his bosses at Ferrari.

Is he aggressive ? Heck yeah he is understand that in his mind he simply must be in first position or life is all bad LOL.

He along with all the drivers are competitors and by there very nature they are arrogant and aloof.

You really don't have to admire the guy but atleast be honest with
yourself and say you would trade jobs with him any day

Being the worlds highest paid athlete is a tough job.

Wombatt funny thing is that many folks who are this good are hated and expected to do wonders all the time.

Jeff Gordon is a perfect example.  I watched him racing as a kid at Kings Speedway in midgets and doing shoot outs in Sprints.  He beat virtually everyone when he was in midgets.  Because of California law he wasn't allowed to actually compete in any actual sprint car races because of his age so instead he did time trial shootouts.  He competed against top names in the sprint car world like Brent Kaeding and Jimmy Sills.  At the age of 16 he was not only beating these guys who had years of experience but beating them by a very substantial margin.

Jeff Gordons family moved him to Australia because there was no laws against 16 year olds racing.  He did extremely well there and then returned to the states.  Then his Nascar career started and he whooped butt there and people hated him for it.  Then the same people who loved him hated him later when he wasn't always first.

Athlete!!!! Good God all he does is sit in a car and make minor adjustments to the steering. He's no athlete. just a very highly paid passenger. F1 is not about the driver its about the car.

Didn't say anything about hating him and I enjoy watching him win a good race.

But the one thing he's almost as consistent at as winning is making very questionable manuvers and then blaming the results on someone else.

One of two conclusions can be drawn:

- His skills are sorely lacking in real race situations and he only excels in the clear with a superior car.

- He's an out and out hack and intentionally makes these types of moves to send the message that you challenge him at your own peril, even if you are the better package that day.

Take your pick, he's dangerous.

Scoff at the criticisms as jelousy - that's what he does - but if I were Heidfeld I'd pick an opportune time to pound him one in the nose out of principle.

Schum did the same thing to Damon Hill and J.Villeneuve...

and that is INTENTIONAL Blocking...

never liked him, his 6 world champ are nothing fantastic in my book...best package does not equal best driver.

Schum is the best at 1 lap time trials, better then Senna in my book, but not as good as Gilles Villeneuve pure driving talents, any Tifosi nows that...

Senna is in a league of his own, then Fangio and Clark.  Schumi is nothing special.  He intentionally blocks, and will not touch Senna's Pole Position record.  Nor the 75% of Pole position's that Senna got, he finished first.

He's an athlete in the physical exertion he puts on himself.  Can you control a car at 140MPH through an S curve?  Sure they have power steering and what not but I think it's still hard to complete the moves at high speed over and over.

BTW Shumii=Michael Shumacher

F1=Formula 1 racing
