by a stroke of his pen the gov/president can offer the clemency to the most vicious criminals but sparing a life of an innocent does not qualify?
The circumstances of the case seem very suspicious. It clearly looks like the hubby might have put her into this state to begin with and now is interested in only one thing. Get rid of the evidence. Money will come later. He can probably easily make millions by selling his "My life with Terri".
What triggers a criminal investigation is a shady cases like this?
