In league games there isn't. But in competition (knockout) tournaments where a positive result is needed to decide who goes through, extra time of 30 mins will be added. Still no result? Penalty shoot out. Read my post from 3-29 at 09:27. Penultimate paragraph. ^

Which is what happens in Australia.

In England, on the other hand, the fans watch the rain come down again and wonder why their team sux so very, very badly.

And the game WAS a walkover, the chances, posession and quality of england's play made it a walkover, they actually played well, just didnt convert many chances..  Could have easily been 6 or so nil if luck had gone our way with those.

It wasn't just luck.  It was poor finishing and amazing goal keeping!  He may have been a crap goalkeeper but he did his job and got between the ball and the goal no matter how unorthodoxed he was!

England may have dominated but I consider walkovers wins by far more goals; definitely not the rout everyone was expecting.  I mean AZR only had about 3 chances and they could have scored on two of those!  England need to pull their socks up and ensure they take advantage of all their chances.  They can't afford to miss that many chances against a poor team 'cos they'd get punished if they were playing a better side.

Hehe, it's a bit obvious, as trolls go. ;) But 15 years ago or so, I would have agreed with you. English cricket hit rock bottom IMO.

But in the 2004 season, I was bloody impressed! Some said we had the best team for 25 years, and I don't disagree. We even thrashed the West Indies in the 2004 test series - unthinkable in some other years.

Loyalty is a wunderful thing.

Things I now live on the other side of the country. Does that mean I can't be a fan anymore!?
