I posted this to the bug fourm but not sure if that is correct since is only a skinning problem. I think this issue has been brought up before, but none of my forum searches on "P-38 spinner" or "P-38 prop texture" are finding pertinent results.
The prop spinners on the P-38s do not get the same specularity as the rest of the plane and I don't think this is related to the material.txt file load problem. The problem is noticeable when doing natural metal finish Js and Ls. The spinners are metal but do not shine like the rest of the a/c as but they should; they seem more like the flat antiglare panel areas, so I think this more likely a texture problem.
I'm trying to do Ben Mason's "Billy Bob", an 82nd FG natural metal '38J with red prop spinners and fuselage nose, and even though the color is the same in both areas they show up in game as different shades of red with different 'shinyness'.
