Except if I mistranslated "domestic violence" I don't see why a cop would be autorized to be violent in his home.


Concerning the revocation of driver licence I don't know for the US but here it's a sanction like others,the sanction don't have to please the criminal.
It just have to punish.

Conviction = face your accuser, evidence, jury of your peers, fifth amendment, counsel, etc.

Jail has just the same chance for mistake.

soo... What regulatins need to be tightened and how?  How will these tightened regulations solve any of the gun vilolence mentioned in any post in this thread?  

You are getting tired of hearing of gun violence?  do you get tired of hearing of drownings or stabbings or motorcycle deaths?  Do you think it possible, especially in light of this thread, that the media may be using yu a tad bit?  Playing to your emotions with some anto gun yellow journalism?    Lotts book "the bias against guns" is a good source of info on the media.

I don't like to see people killed or accidents happen but it is the price of living in Amercia and I wouldn't have it any other way.  I will concede your point tho if you can come up with a plan that doesn't infringe on law abiding citizens rights and lowers crime and homicides.

I posted some of laws that need work in the other thread.

Tell you the truth laz I don't know that tightening them will do anything but I Do know that the way it is right now is not working.

as for the media I am no anti-gun advocate so no. I just think they are too easily acquired and that most people who have them do not keep them secured properly.

I don't have a plan but I do think that becoming more heavily armed with bigger and more powerful weapons is the wrong way to go.

It is a sad thing that once in a while in our country of 300 million that things like this happen but it is hysterical to go on a banning spree that has the potential to bring on far more harm than good.

Actually I think if you look at domestic violence how it relates to shootings of the spouse after they get out of jail, seems like a very wise law. As for the cops, good. I don't want any law enforcement that gets off work and goes home and beats on the old lady.

When you break the law you have consequences. Don't break the law and you have nothing to get banned. Simple.

well... maybe I am looking at this all wrong but... seems to me that if you beat up "the old lady" you need to go to jail.... not have your drivers licence suspended or gun rights revolked.

This all seems like cruel and unusual punishmet to me.   I don't care how many studies say that wife beaters shoot people... if you believe the studies so much then let's put wife beaters in prison for life or execute em.   You want to take away their second amendment rights because of some studies?  

raider.... I am not talking about arming anyone who does not desire to be armed.   Only about 10% of people would even bother and they are a very law abiding bunch...

your way... tighter bans and regulation got us school shootings and skyjackings.   Allowing more CC holders got us lower crime rates.
