Well, all we've been hearing is how expensive a pistol would be in England. Apparently not expensive enough to make it a worthwhile illegal business. Sounds like a "demand" function which again would highlight the basic difference in the nature of our respective societies.
Over here I don't think the majority of our drugs come in through customs. I'd think they bypass any sort of offical inspection risk altogether. In that event, tossing a few dozen guns on top of the load coming in on a cigarette boat is no problem. (In the event things ever get to the "ban" stage here, which I'm certain won't happen in my lifetime.)
