I heard him being interviewed about 2 hours after the incident.  At the time he brought up a very interesting notion:

When his friends in Washington saw the story they nervously laughed at the idea.  They really had nothing in place to prevent that from happening.

which is why I have never had a problem with the face recognition software and cameras they put in place here for the SuperBowl last year and the same system they have in place in our Ybor night club area...

For those of you that don't know, the "Ryan Doctrine" concerns asassinating any world leader who harms by action (direct or indirect) any U. S. citizen.  Not a bad idea.  Anyone know where I can get transcript of that Clancy interview?
