"We were told that this will be the last time Apeldoorn holds a parade on this scale. But that's what they said last time, on the 50th anniversary in 1995.

Organizers were forced to change their minds after townspeople demanded another parade."

You guys rock.  :)

"The Canadian Tulip Festival has grown into the largest tulip festival in the world from a gift of thanks given five decades ago. In the fall of 1945, Princess Juliana of the Netherlands presented Ottawa with 100,000 tulip bulbs. The gift was given in appreciation of the safe haven which Holland's exiled royal family received during the Second World War and in recognition of the role which Canadian troops played in liberating the Netherlands."

It's really nothing special. After what they did for us, the least we can do is to invest a day a year into thanking them...

I like the Dutch.  Fun and friendly.

Heading to Amsterdam this coming week.

Looking forward to lusting after all the beautiful, tall and smiling Dutch girls.

If you make some cute giggeling sounds from your stroller maybe one of them will look down at you and show you some cleavage.

We have our share, but the Netherlands is full of them and I always enjoy the view.
