New things!
« on: April 28, 2005, 04:32:58 PM »
HTC,
Just curious what the community and my squad can do to help add more "things" to the game.
Provide stats? pictures? layouts? scenarios? suggestions? data sheets?  R & D?  Implementation? Any one thing more helpful than another?

I know a lot of the flyboys would like to have more planes to choose from, us ground guys would like a few more vehicles and or equipment to use. What about commander positions? or certain roles for people just wanting to participate, but not necessarily fly or drive?
I remember when we got the Tiger tank, then the T34 everyone was like "cool a new veh" same goes for the planes.

Just a thought, trying to reach more of a broader group, when I played WW2OL there was positions for people to fill that had a great impact on the game and it's events.

These individuals would plan, direct, setup missions and stratagies, bring units and squads together {if they wanted} and provide resource management.

Just throwing some ideas out on the table

id like some sort of special event, IN MA on at least one night....kinda like RJO was like, but for all sides.

this would "mold" the sides into team work, and possibly make it easier to train others

But then, (to risk being dangerously blunt) having first hand experience comparing WW2OL and AH2 -- you came back here.....

There was a vote, most wanted to continue with AH. I still play WW2OL. Some of the guys systems were having trouble running the game, so most moved back and asked to restart the LTAR squad, which I did. The LTAR squad in WW2ol is alive and well.
I never said WW2OL was the game of all games, it has great features just as AH does. I was just making a couple of comparisions to both.
I no more want AH to become ww2ol than the man on the moon, doesn't mean we can't look at a few features that it has.
HTC should always be looking at his competitors product and keeping them guessing about his.

I would just like to continue to see AH grow and become more polished. Could you imagine if the game stayed exactly like it is now? People would get bored out of their skulls, not to mention no attraction for new members {which is the life-blood of any successful business}
The US has 296 million people, HTC has how many acct's? at any one time there is 150-600 {that's hundred} people playing?  I have more people than that on my block!

Ground war on WW2 online is supposed to be good - I tried it for a month and didn't like it - air war is probably the worst of any mmog that I have ever seen - setting up stick and pedals took a frigging week - flight model is ridiculous, everything is grey, fly around for an hour and not see anyone, tried to knock out a light aa site and was told that hurri's guns can't do that, oh and you can't fly any Brit plane but a Hurri - appalling waste of time and energy.

Tried the ground war, lots of running around avoiding those people who have binoculars and smg's...gosh what fun.

The ground war in ww2ol is pretty nice, the air war is a joke.

I say give it a try, you'll either like it or hate it.

Post a couple of films of your experience of "air combat" in WW2 Online so that others can see how great it is and what they're missing out on.
