WWII bombers in Corvallis Oregon

Are any of you going to see them tommorow.  They will be at the Corvallis airport and will be landing at 3PM.  You will also be able to see them on Saturday and Sunday.

From what I've read tours will be $7 and flights will be $350.  (I wish I had $350 to burn.  :) )

There will be a b17, the "909", a b24 called "Dragons Tail" (?), and supposedly they will be escorted by a p51 mustang.  The b24 is the only flying b24 left with it's turrets in place.

I'm trying to decide if I can stop by at 3 PM tommorow.

Just thought some of you would be interested.  :)

I saw '909' and 'Dragons Tail' fly into Salem Airport last year on my birthday, it was an awesome sight, made no less more so by the men in caps and old leather jackets from units that served in WWII though VietNam.

Stepping into the B-17 for the first time and seeing that fragile skin brought home to me a small inkiling of what those guys faced <S> to them all. If you have a chance go, I may have to work this weekend otherwise I would drive down.

A p51 just buzzed the OSU campus about 5 minutes ago.  It was low, LOUD, and fast.  It sure was pretty with the invasion stripes on it, I sure wish I had my camera.
