Week 9
TRACK: Costa di Amalfi (city courses)
CAR/MODS: Ahem:

Indy gave me a good idea with week 8's setup.
(um.....ok, actually this is Talyn's idea from Indy's setup but I like it so I'm stealing it).

Total budget for car and mods 75,000cr.
You must purchase a car from Nissan's new car list, no second hand cars, nothing other than a Nissan. Any Nissan.
Road tyres (N3) as standard, sports tyres (S1, S2, S3) must be bought from the mod budget. The sports medium tyres (S2) that come as standard must be payed for if you want to use them. Racing tyres not allowed.
No NOS.
Stick with the car you run first. No changing cars mid week cos someone else made a better choice.
Reason I picked Nissan is that there are around 15 vehicles in more or less the same power / price bracket.

AIDS: TCS & ASM disabled for wheel users. Others may use TCS & ASM.

Notes:
Swoop 50kg ballast

RULES:
- Gran Turismo mode practice only. No arcade mode or drafting AI cars.
- Lowest single lap time wins.
- Post times in this thread by Monday AM.
- Winner picks next week's track, car, and mod budget.
- Winner must carry 50kg ballast in next week's competition. Subsequent wins add 50kg ballast for each win, up to a maximum of 200kg. If winning streak is ended, 50kg is removed each week that the driver does not win.
- Oil change and car wash allowed.
- Try not to cut corners or hit walls too much.
- Championship reset when someone hits 100pts.

Ok no racing tires but your saying buying sport tires is ok as long as their not medium??????????

From the way I read it, if you want sport tires, you need to pay for them. If they come with the car, you gotta buy them again and take it out of the budget, unless you want to run Simulation tires. N3 simulation tires are the only freebies.

yeah you can buy the soft. The idea is that if you want the grippy tyres it comes outta your mod budget.

does anyone if the logitech momo force works on the PS2? i got one for the PC but im scared to plug it into the ps2...i heard that most USB wheels should work......

Well its a pity you did not pick a PC based racing sim, as it is your safe cos i am not gonna splash the cash for a console.

Skyline GT-R 2'04.something (PS isn't on and I didn't write it down when I saved the ghost).

Was kinda worried about the cost of a Skyline over the 350Z but I just really wanted 4WD.

I got the GT4 special ed. 350Z.... free 20HP.
Just bought S3 tires so far. And went round the wrong place for a few laps, thinking that I was beating you (Citta di Aria)

This should be competitive, as we all know that track pretty well from all the cheating
