Not sure what forum to ask this one in, so here goes.

Say a cheap, tightfisted fella, who's wallet hasn't seen daylight since the Christmas he got it as a present, wanted to build a small website.

Is there a good, "FREE" option?

you mean templates to build a site or the hosting?

if you're thru rogers they give you nine emails with 15 mgs of webspace per email.

check on your isp providers page ... i know my verizon isp gives every costomer a small amount of web space .

Like they said, you can’t beat the free space that comes with your ISP.

If you want a ton of space for cheap, I recommend http://www.globat.com .

I got a massive amount for about $75 a year. It may have even come down more recently and its ad free. Beware; many cheap providers will place ads on your web pages, read the fine print.

If you are looking for a simple html editor, look no further than MS Word (if you already have it). It’s a “what you see is what you get” editor; your existing word processing knowledge will take you far. Html knowledge requirements are minimal. Pros claim that it makes a very cluttered code (and it does) but it really doesn’t matter because almost all web browsers can view it flawlessly.
