one of the few cars I regret getting rid of was my '59 vette.   You can still get deals on 60's vettes but you have to do a lot of the work yourself.

Yea, you would definately need to do your own work. I've seen some crazy prices on mid-years. A '59 would be sweet to own, you rarely see something like that anymore, around here at least.

Actualy that type was for the amercan market  something to do with emmisions and stuff.

Actually as far as classics go, I'd class just about any british pre 60's bike as a "must have" just for the experience. With the Vincent Black Shadow being at the top of the list.

For a modern classic it would be the Ducati 916 SPS
