August 1944, somewhere in Polebrook...
« on: May 18, 2005, 03:23:30 PM »
It's 3:15 AM and planning is well under way...this will be a "max effort" with every plane possible thrown in the air. The 351 BG has drawn the short straw once again...they were tasked with hitting the vaunted 116th Panzer division at Aachen. With 600 men, 12 tanks this overwelming force was stonewalling the entire drive to the Rhine...but by carefully assigning a squadron to each tank platoon Colonel Hatcher was hoping for the best...he would lead the 509th himself as once again he "crossed props" with Gerhard Tebbe commander of Pz.Rgt.16 the hard striking edge of the 116th....

At least this is the way it plays out in AH2:D
