ive never seen that movie, but i can give you a good advise
everything from the friteuse(sp?) is bad for your health if you eat
it on a daily base. The fat will kill your blood very soon.
On the other side, fresh burgers from grill with fresh vegetables
will for sure not kill you.

i often eat at Mc Donalds, but we also make our meals at home
mainly with fresh products only.
And no i'm absolute not fat, but thats not because what i eat
its what i do in my spare time (ie. not sitting around the whole
day without any move ;)

what i would want to know is, the fat people in the US, i doubt
they where born that fat, where is the self-discipline?

there is no discipline, too easy for Americans to go to the corner for fast food.

and no they were not born that way.......comes from lazy/too busy parents that don't even know what the kitchen looks like.

And it also starts at the school.....I was shocked at what the cafateria at my sons school feeds them....ALL crap......he takes his lunch now.

The key is balance. I can enjoy English fish and chips once in a while, but I wouldn't eat that (or anything else) every single day.

I've never been one for fast food.  If i'm hungry i'll buy a pasty.

Unbraced tailplane ends it's figure.

I don't think it's about self discipline. A normal person with a sedentary lifestyle who isn't grossly exceeding his daily caloric requirements won't become obese. It's about overeating, you have to make a deliberate effort to overeat, it's not a normal or natural thing to do.

In fact if you were brought up working class american as I was. Eating food because it tastes good, is something reserved for hollidays. I think the problem might lie within the american ethos of industry. You get up and eat a big breakfast so that you can be a productive worker. Then on your 30 minute lunch break you take on more fuel. When you got home you try to eat all of what the women have put on the table. You tell the children to finish their food, clean their plate, I don't care if you don't like it, it's not about taste, you don't waste food, that's decadent.

i was speaking mainly of Central Europe, Hungary, Serbia and western Romania.....hard to find fat people there.

Although i will say that Budapest has one of the most beautiful McDonalds in the world. In the old waiting room at the train station at Nyugati pu.

keep banning stuff and eventually they will get around to something you like a lot.

I eat fast food about once a month if you include pizza.

Beetle is a lot fatter than me.

Wierd thing about McDonalds is I couldn't get over how so many (foreign) people would bag it. I eat McD's maybe once or twice a week. Then I travalled overseas a few times, and couldn't believe how bad McDonalds is in other countries.

Australia was my worst experience (Melbourne). Their Big Mac beef tasted like some sort of roadkill with cigarette butts mixed in, the lettuce was more like some ancient sourkraut shoved between a couple of stale buns.

McDonalds in NZ is something to behold... the McD's around the corner from where I live actually produces Big Mac's that look like the ones in promotion photos. The beef patties are delicious, with fresh lettuce, fresh buns, everything is tasty. The only thing that pisses me off about McDonalds NZ is they withdrew the kiwi burger (think Big Mac + Egg + Beetroot + Tomato) and replaced it with "The Boss".

Yes its still fast food, no I wouldn't eat it day after day for a month, but it is quite enjoyable.

KFC on the other hand is usually a lesson in food poisoning...

Cuz most people are broke there, most of then cant afford Mcdonalds. Years of commie rule  tought  them to save money and manage their money well.

In those countries, for a price of MCdees Cheeseburger or 2, you can get a whole chiken in grocrery store.  And of course whole drive tru fast food thing hasnt really cought on.
when you order  coke or some pop (in bars), you get a small .25L bottle . And refills are not free. Also pop servings are in EU mcdees is less then in US.

Eskimo,

Please quote the point where I made any assumptions based on the film. Please let me know where I said anything in the film was fictitious, bogus or correct.

You are making inferences for things I did not state or imply. Your problem not mine.

My gripe with fast food is that consumers generaly have no idea just how calorie and fat laden this food is. I would wish that they be required to print nutrition info in the wrapers of their products so that finding this info would be easier.

so what?  If it were the only real meal of the day and the rest was snacking on fruits and beggetables or lean meat... and the person got off their fat bellybutton to move around a little..

the meal would work just fine.

Printing the info (warings) you suggest about calories and so on would have the same impact as the warning about cancer printed on cigarette packs. In order for it to be effective the reader has to give a damn. If they did they wouldn't be using the product or using it to excess. Again, it's about responsibility for ones self, or kids in the case of parents.
