Yes, there is lag in some of the major NPC cities but that is usually do to the amount of player's spamming their products. Load times take a long time? Again, that usually depends on your system and quality connection. It only takes me on average to 15 seconds (If I'm loading into my house or a player city) and maybe 30 seconds if I load into a NPC city like Coronet.
Athlon 64 3200+, 1g of cas2 memory, raptor 10k rpm hd, 6800 GT, sb audigy 2 gamer... nah, no bottlenecks on my PC. I can play Doom3 very, very smoothly in full detail. Not many can do that

I thought it was lag, but the result was the same across 4 different servers. Then I checked my wireless NIC and changed over to wired 10/100. Tried everything under the sun I could think of, because I really did want to play, but it was not to be. Still laggy & choppy unless in a very remote region, far far away from player cities. It's not the route to SOE, because other SOE games have worked just fine... even Planetside which is notorious for laggy zergs. The load times themselves were fast hopping into an area, but waiting for everything to magically appear and being frozen while waiting... that just sucked horribly. It made PK totally out of the question, which is why I play these games anyways.
And for the graphics, where did you pull that from? SWG uses the same graphics engine as EQ2 does, albeit the engine did get some fine tuning for EQ2, which by the way was incorperated into the latest expansion. Go to Kashyyyk and see for yourself.
Then the EQ2 engine is crap too

Unless you prefer the bland EP4-6 starwars (before digital re-touching)... in which case it about looks right.
Kashyyyk is cool, but looks pretty pathetic put side by side with World of Warcraft.
As for the economic disparity between the servers, that's what you'll get when you use a real time economy system for your game.
Yeah, I know... but is it a good thing? I don't think so looking from the perspective of a new player. I couldn't tell if it took into account inflation when paying out player missions, but it doesn't look like it.
And space looks quite nice, I think only Eve Online can compare to the sheer beauty of space.
The space looked nice, but the cockpit textures were crap. They really could've & should've done alot better. To me, the newer cockpits in AH are 10x better at least.
...Eve Online is awesome. Unless you don't have alot of friends in 0.0 space, then it's a pretty, but very mundane grind for money

Anyway, have fun in WoW and tell Leroy I said "Hello".
Dunno what server good ol' Leroy is on, but since he's on the Alliance, and everybody in my house is Horde, I wouldn't even be allowed to say hello unless I found his character somehow in game.
