As the Iraqi information minister would say: "ridiculos, there is no link to the iraq situation"

I find it amusing to read patriotic comments made by those whos in the safety of their homes.

and when speaking for all of us foreigners, it has nothing to do with hating america or it's people, it is the hate towards it's current political direction.
Just like some of the americans have replied to the russians implying americans as russohaters.

Hmmmm....Guess my 6 years in the Military makes me a deserter. Here I thought I just did my duty to my country..now that I'm not in anymore...due to age mainly...Im a deserter.

You guys got it all wrong with fishu. He's the expert on everything military. Just ask him, or don't and he'll still tell you. He's so expert he never even had to serve in one.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

You denying the existence of Bush colored glasses?

They were a hot item. I mean, they were everywhere. All the kids were doing it. But mostly, these days, you only tend to see them in the discount bins at various Walmart locations.

You know how you see people that seem to have been frozen at a certain point in time? Like when Disco was peaking? Or when Thriller was released? Or the era of Whitesnake? You look at these people... with their Lacoste collars turned up, or sporting their red leather jackets, or overpowered by the awesomeness that is the mullet... and say "frozen."

So it is with the Bush colored glasses fad. A veritable supply-side logistical nightmare in its hey-day. Nowadays...  lets just say you don't hear the phrase "on back-order" quite as much.

Still going fer about 100 X as much as the Kerry-colored glasses.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

For real we went to Gettysburg for our honeymoon.
Figured what beter place to start a marriage then on a battle feild.

I managed to get the Imperial War Museum in on mine :) In exchange I had to visit Claude Monet's home in Giverny, France -- but that was actually pretty cool with its magnificant gardens.

Military service is mandatory in here: only some hippies go to "civil service" or if they refuse to serve then to the prison.
