Yer welcome.

The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

oh... ok... so no soldiers are deserting but the incentives for education and training aren't enough for a lot of kids to offset the possibility of being in a shooting war..

That is the new defenition of "deserter" eh?

The man isnt in good health.  He has to live the rest of his life in Japan, when he barely speaks Japanese.  He has many things to be thankful for, but I'd say he has suffered enough.

Wait let me get a crying towel.

No one that was headed to Nam or any other battle zone was not scared to death.
He was military and he deserted. End of story. Treason.
He made his choice. A piss poor one I might add.

Democracy is two wolves deciding on what to eat. Freedom is a well armed sheep protesting the vote.

"Russiahater" in all further posts should be changed to "Commiebasher".

I will admit to being a commie basher.   I can think of very few things that are more productive than bashing a commie.

Mac <~~~ over 11 years in South Korea...

Look ultra melons I was 20 years old in the OD Green..frickken ABN RCN on TNT "Tunnel Neutrilization Team" North of CP Dodge, from Songnam ROK JUSMAG-K  in the DMZ 78~79.  Did Tunnels there for 11 Months.  3rd Tunnel was fun... not what the press reported.

My Baptisism.

The guy is a Deserter.  Reguardless of how many years have passed. He needs to still be tried as one.

My 2 cents...and a nickel.

Mac
