I understand it...
BTW, you now talk to a person who doesn't have a driver's license and can't drive a car at all. With our public transportation system it's easier to ride metro (subway, underground, tube) and "vote" for a cab/taxi/privateer. Subway trains don't get into traffic jams

Lada 8 and 9 models were decent cars back in the 80s, but now they are... hmm...
They still make "classic" Ladas here, clones of Fiat-124, "best Euro small car of 1967". The only good thing about it is that it's as simple and easy-to-repair as a Kalashnikov, you can fix almost anything with a hammer, plyers and some help of ebony mother.

Do you get to choose color yet on lada's?
The choice of colours makes me vomit.
If I'll ever get a driver's license - I'll buy a used foreign car. But my Father wants to get a free car, he's a veteran (78 now) and can get a new Oka for free every 3 years IIRC from Moscow city government. Oka is another technical marvel, imagine something like a small suitcase with 4 wheels and a 2-cylinder engine... Almost an Oka-11, it's called VAZ-1111 "Oka". Father's driving experience ended in 1963 when he got into a crash in a rented Moskvich (not his fault), so I'll have to drive that "furious stool" ( ) myself...
