How do you guys handle heat?
« on: June 29, 2005, 10:14:23 AM »
I have temps in the mid to high 90's in my "office" today. Usually there is no problem, but my "retarted" neighbours have decided to attack their little forrest with a chainsaw today. I can choose between boiling in my own sweat or loose my hearing. I get a lot of phonecalls so i cant really go for for number two.

Some of you gentlemen come from hot places.. how do you cope other than to drink lots of cold water?

I like hot weather, but then I'm cold blooded or thin blooded who cares.. :D

Our warehouse gets to about 90-100 durning the summer.  When were short staff I do what most managers do take the  eazy job and I jump on the fork lift!

No forklift to buzz around in here... hopefully my sweet cuddley lovable neighbours decides to call it at day before I do.

Even the gentle breeze of a fart helps. i should eat something cold.

Use a fan.

The way I handle heat is to use the AC in our RV. It works great. I also go swimming in the nice pool the park has. Then I drink something cold in the airconditioned RV while cruising the satelite channels for something to watch.

Retirement, it's a dirty job but someone has to do it.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN

See? My brain is already cooked. I should have thought about getting a fan...

The ocean is only a few feet away, but then it just gets 10 times worse when i have to go back in. I would prolly just float around all day and get nutting done, and then my weekend is ruined too.

Only 6 more months and ill wine about it beeing -20c

I know what you mean, Joc, it's hard to feel sexy when you're gripping wet, matted wool.

Scientists now believe that, contrary to popular opinion, fireplaces actually remove heat from houses. Really, that's what scientists believe.  In fact many scientists actually use their fireplaces to cool their houses in the summer.  If you visit a scientist's house on a sultry August day, you'll find a cheerful fire roaring on the hearth and the scientist sitting nearby, remarking on how cool he is and drinking heavily.
