Jimmy Franklin and Bobby Younkin were killed when their biplanes collided at an air show in Canada.

Very sad to hear indeed. I saw the "Masters" perform a number of times and was always impressed. Jimmy Franklin also had a modified 1940 Waco bi-plane with a T-38 (J-85) jet engine mounted beneath that enabled him to do the most amazing vertical maneuvers I've ever seen a biplane perform.

Ah well, I remember during one of Bobby Younkin's shows where he was stunting his Twin Beech in ways the airframe was never designed for, the announcer commenting "He always pushes the limits..." and I remember saying to my wife, "Let's hope the limits don't push back..."

My condolences to their families.

during the a reno airshow..i think in 2000 h ewas there with his jet biplane..

add a jet engine underneatrh..WOW!!!!!!!!!1

If none of you saw this in person..you really missed somthing spectacular

Sad news.....was supposed to see their show this saturday at the Dayton Airshow. Godspeed gentlemen.

I was wondering what was up Sunday afternoon when i didnt hear any sounds coming from 15 wing.  Didnt hear what happened until that evening.

A terrible tradgedy indeed.
