Video Card Power Message
« on: July 17, 2005, 06:41:07 PM »
Been getting a message once and a while right when i first boot saying something like "your video card is not connected directly to the power supply"

of course it is i even made sure the power connections were all nice and secure.

all i have to normaly do after getting this message, is reboot and i dont hear anything again.

but im still once in a while (about every 10 boots) getting this message.

bad power supply?
video card going kaput?

both are still under warrenty.

or mabey the connector itself.

no overclocking here niether so i know i didnt fry it.

start by replacing the connector first...it's the cheapest
have you had the card out of the machine very often? just thinkin it may be some wear and tear
