Guess Constituional Rights mean nothing to City Councils....
« Reply #30 on: July 19, 2005, 01:26:43 PM »
Well,
This weekend here in the Detroit area, one of the local towns had a "Dream Cruz". All sorts of old and very cool cars (As some of you might have guessed, Detroit is a bit of a car town).
Well me and the kids are watching these cool cars go up and down main street and what comes past? An M3. That's right a M3. It had 3 50 cals on it and a bunch of kids riding in the back!

Talk about an assault rifle!

I have "Sporting Rifles (assault rifles)" some because they are fun to shoot. I do not hunt with them, just shoot paper targets. I also have 2 what would be called deer rifles (3030, and 3006). I do not deer hunt. I only hunt upland game birds. Does that meen I have to stop buying deer rifles and turn mine in?

Be carefull what you wish for, in America dreams can come true.

I am glad people don't like guns, I'm glad people like guns. I don't like people, that hate people, that have guns and I don't like people, that hate people, that don't like guns.

God Bless America!

a weapon that fires shortened rifle cartrages and has the capability of firing them in a fully automatic setting.

but like i said: legalize em. hell! legalize light and heavy machine guns! i am willing to give up some personal safety to hear automatic weapons fired into the air again on the 4th.

PS
if you guys wanna make this a "lefty righty" thing i have plenty of apt aurguments. and dont you ever insult my state again, that is uncalled for.

Smidsy,

Except in places like California, a heavy machine gun IS legal. A friend of mine has one, a M-2 Browning HMG (fully auto) with both a tripod mount and pedestal mount for his vintage jeep. I also know of some that have model 1919 Browning 30 cal. also fully auto.

As to insulting California, is that even possible?
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Next on the list is a CMP Garand, and maybe a 1903.

Charon, you better hurry.  Last time I was at CMP I bought 2 garands and 1 1903.  Their stock of decent Garands is running out and their stock of 1903's is running out also.

That's what I hear. Missed out on the USGI service grades. Probably get a USGI field grade or one of the Greek service grades. Problem is I would like a WW2 era serial no. (which they may or may not pull). I would drive to Perry and get one at the N. Store but it's 5 hrs each way and from what I hear the selection can be hit or miss at the store just like the luck of the draw with the mail option. A nice 1903 with a finger-groove stock is a lot to ask right now, I expect :)

I did the drive at 8 hours each way.  It was great to actually go over there and pick out the guns we wanted.

The two garands we got were Danish issue.  They were kept in fabulous shape.

I have heard just the opposited about the greek issue Garands.  They are beaten to hell and have all sorts of crude things carved in the stocks.

It is becoming quite clear this topic cannot be discussed without posters taking it on themselves to be abusive and/or disrespectful towards others.
