Someone needs to do time for this crime.  :(
What a beautiful bird that was.  I am sure the owner is on a suicide watch?

Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

It will be back in the air sooner then you think.  All it takes is the cash, and if you had it the first time for a 109, I'd imagine you'd have it again

My God, she was so beautiful... but I'm sure someone with too much cash will rebuild her... eventually.

I'd always heard the Bf109 was notorious for takeoff and landing accidents. I'm sure the grass field didn't help at all.
I hope they do get it put back together.

Grass or dirt fields are what the 109 was designed to land on. Concrete or asphalt runways are positively dangerous for a 109 due to the toe-in of the main wheels.

Always land on grass/dirt. Always land in a head wind. Always make sure the slats are deployed (the failure to do this accounted for a lot of the landing accidents).

Didn't look like it was damaged extremely bad, for example, a total loss.  Most of the plane is still intact.  Hopefully someone will rebuild her.  Beauty of a plane.
