Yes it is funny, hilariously so....and relevant in a gamer's forum. How many times have we seen this exact kinda stuff in our chat buffers? :)

I know I'm likely to tread a toe here, but I still gotta. I'd like someone from the Mod Squad to explain why this was nooked the last couple of times it was posted.

This isn't a challenge of any sort. I'm in the "its private property so the owners have the right to make the rules" camp. Its also not something that can be answered by "see Rule # *". Rules have reasons behind them. What I'm looking for here is why the content was deemed offensive, not which rule applied.

Discussing things on this level is IMO a good way to achieve consensus in terms of the community's understanding of exactly what community leaders are trying to achieve, and therefore what cooperation is expected.

In addition to the camp I described above, I'm also in the "property owners shouldn't be expected to debate decisions in public" camp. But...

There's a difference between confrontation and inquiry. There should be a different type of response.

I think it was "Attempting to bypass the profanity filter" Culero.  But since this one was just a link and not a copy/paste, I dont think it will be messed with.  At least, I cant see a reason why, unless they go with the multiple thread thing, or cross posting or whatever.  I dont think the previous threads are still up currently though, so it should be safe.

Well, to put a fine point on it, if the content is deemed offensive, then posting a link to it isn't any more acceptable than posting the content.

But that's not my point. I'd just like to understand why what this link points to is considered offensive.

"Bypassing the profanity filter" in order to gratuitously use vulgar language I can understand as offensive, just to be clear.

Has this been posted and locked on these forums?

Strange, I mean its humor, no one can mistake it for anything but humor. Sometimes humor can be provocative, yes, but when something is humoring all sides of an issue I dont see a provocation. But most often what is provocative, starts flame wars and hurts people is when humor isnt evident. The writen language is quite hard to tell if someone is joking or not but in this case its so overly evident.

I dont wana get into an argument about moderation but humor is healthy, without laughs we die.
