i think the whisper mode should be shut off in the MA....why??? spies!

Yesterday the rooks were planning a HUGE mission then as soon as we took off two 262s and a heavy p38 were right there at the exact sametime and sameplace i dont think it was a couincidence.

We lost 4 bombers, two fighters, and 1 c47 during takeoff.

It got worse.

Rookland seems to attract more of the furballing type, I think this has more to do with Rooks not liking missions.  I understand your frustration.  Most players I know don't advertise their missions because of spying.

You cant stop spying - dweebs will find a way.
Instant messaging, even email - dweebs will find a way to spy.
But believe it or not, few players are so dweeby, and once discovered - oh well, they'll have a very hard road and probably wind up changing their name.

Same thing could be argued either way about NOE missions with heavy bombers or divebombing heavy bombers.

One one hand its argued that they "sometimes" made NOE missions or 17's and Lancasters were capapble of such manuvers. So it should be allowed in the game.

Same thing with spies only they were used to a far greater extent thei either

On the other hand.
As you say. this is a Game and not real life. And just because something was done or was done a few times or was capapble of something. Doesnt mean it should be in the game.

Personally I would like to see dive bombing heavies  and heavies used in NOE missions done away with. Using your very same arguement  you make against spies

As for spies. While they are probably around I think there are far fewer then people want to make out.

I know I've uncovered alot of NOE missions simply by paying attention to the map. Usually someone does somethign stupid like go above dar for a breif moment. or the planner takes the mission close to a friendly facility and causes it to flash like the one I spotted last night.

A dar bar that suddenly appears the dissapears in a sector with no base is a sure giveaway. As is a flashing facility with no darbar

Or someone going NOE themselves spotting this blob of black dots hugging the ground or water.

All it takes is one person paying attention to the map and getting suspcious enough to uncover an NOE mission.

Occasionally OE missions are pulled off to great effect. But more times then not NOE missions work because alot of times even when spotted and reported few if any people bother to respond untill after the base is actually under attack

true drediock but it was 50 miles away from the closest base and it while we were taking off the runway the 38 dropped bombs on the bombers and shot down the 47 the 2 262s showed up maybe 15 seconds later and caused alot of anger because we all knew it had to be a spy

ummm with all due respect. didnt you look at the map before you upped to make sure the area was clear? Or wasnt ANYONE paying attention to the map?
that many planes had to have some kind of radar signature long before they reached your base. Unless they too came in NOE. Even then your base shoulda been flashing
