Unless the recently changed it..it is AE..more of actual wiring in the airframe..AT (Aviation electronics tech) does the actual equipment. Hope I didn't burst your bubble..Working at and around NAS Oceana most of my friends (that aren't OS's) are AE's and AT's..a few AO's but AO's aren't known to be able to hold a good intelligent conversation for long :D

ASTAC, For now I am a general AV until I finish my A school, then I will be either a AE or an AT. But I was just stating in general for those who know less about the job.

Are you doing your boot camp at Great Lakes, Orlando, or San Diego?  I don't remember where all the aviation schools are.

Great Lakes is the only one left...closed San Diego and Orlando in 93-94

I was at Great Lakes from Sept until November 1979. One day 85 degrees, two days later SNOW!  Loudest thunderstorms I have ever heard!!
