Mobil Artillery
« on: July 27, 2005, 05:26:10 PM »
Artillery, in the scope of War in the last two centuries, was a critical component to victory. I think some (perked) Mobil artillery
(Self propelled or towed), would add a great new dynamic to the game. Especially when taking down strats and bases.

I've posted on it a couple times. Pyro said he longs for it. :D

Technically we already have mobil artillery, the LVT4 has a
75mm pack howitzer mounted.  Also some of the 2500 yard plus
tank shooting around here would probably qualify :p

I use the LTVA4 for some close-coast shelling, but it still lacks the range. anything over 3200k is difficult at best to accuratly aim at

I would prefer actual artilary that can fire over a mile. IE over 5800k, and be aimable at that range. farther if you've got alt over the base.

You know looking back I guess the naval shelling could qualify as artillery. But it is not the same as a battery 105's or 155's pounding the snot out of a grid.
