New perk and ENY values
« on: August 02, 2005, 12:04:54 PM »
According to the HTC homepage, there are new perk and eny values for tour 67. Can someone please post what the changes are? I can't check since I am at work.

Very cool changes :aok

From just a quick glance, the Ta152's price has gone down very much (It was 5 points w/ a perk multiplyer of 1.09 or so, not sure what that makes the base one).

Also, the Spit14 and F4U4 have gone down tremendously.  The Spit14 I think was at 14-15 and the F4U4 was @ 19ish under the same multiplyer.  The Tempest stays in the 50's range.

Also, it appears that the Spit5 now has a lower rating then the Spit9, which I have to say seems proper.

I didn't notice any other changes but could have easily overlooked something I'm not familiar with.

Looks like I'll have to learn that F4U4 now :)

It isn't based on any particular performance numbers, just on usage.  HTC allows the players to determine where the true overall performance advantage rests.  ENY values just follow the resulting usage.

Each can be very difficult to shoot down at times, although in different ways.  Each can be very easy to fly at times, again, each in different ways.

The different ways not necessarily demanding different ENY values.

And before it's brought up - who cares what year each came out in...  All that matters is how difficult/easy it is to kill/fly them in the MA.

Oh yeah.  The F4U-4 is one sweet ride.  Lowered the perk cost eh?  :D   I know where I'll be when I get home today lol.

Tempest should be way lower than than it is. The temp is a piece of crap compared to the other planes. 5-10 perks would be more than enough.

Usage and K/D disagree, strongly, with you.

La-7 has nowhere lower to go.  It is either the same or perked and given the lack of wailing and gnashing of teeth on the forums I'd guess it is the same.

Only one slight problem with that theory -

Look back at one of the recent threads about perking the La7, HT  said he DOESNT monitor plane usage. He monitors deaths and uses that a guide to usage.

For eg if plane (a) kills plane (b) 20 times then plane (b) is adjudged to have more usage than plane (a) because it has 20 deaths. Extreme example granted, but shows the flaw in the logic.

What I would like to see if this is the 'new' way of doing things is that it changes EVERY month.
As it stands an ENV lmit of 10 rules out ALL RAF fighters apart from Hurris. God help the poor RAF fans on the Knit side.
